Homelab Backups

This is a personal backup tool for one homelab. It encrypts backup data with restic and stores an offsite copy in the owner's Google Drive using rclone.

Why it asks for Google Drive access

The Google OAuth app requests only the drive.file permission. That lets the tool create and manage the Drive files it uses for encrypted backups. It does not request access to the rest of the owner's Drive.

The backup tool runs on the owner's private equipment. This website only explains its Google authorization; it does not accept uploads, sign-ins, or backup data.
